Afterlife: The Shards of Liberty - 28mm scale tabletop wargame
This interesting KS project needs some help to be funded:
AFTERLIFE : The Shards of Liberty
I have many resin minis from Anvil Industry and they are of very high quality - some of the best casts in the market.

Miniature bases - one more option
I believe, supporting interesting KS campaigns is important for development of our hobby. This is a reason why I'm putting so much effort in this direction lately... Nevertheless, another nice project with Polish participants:
Formally, this are inserts for recessed bases, but you can glue it on the top of the regular base as well...
No much more to say, it all depends on your taste and the value of the offer, which is better and better with each stretch goal reached.

New painting tutorial from France - traditional paper approach
Nowadays, the amount of electronic publications which one can find through the web is enormous. This apply also to our little hobby of painting tiny toys with acrylic paints. However, some people still like traditional paper books, especially those full of pretty pictures. Multiple enthusiastic opinions regarding such publications as Forge World Model Masterclass books shows this quite clearly.
Figone, a French miniature company is running Indiegogo campaign to publish a book devoted to miniature painting techniques.
The goals are pretty simple. So, take a look, maybe will find it interesting...

So, all those Americans were green, you say?
Although KS campaigns lost their novelty feeling long time ago, some of them are still really exciting for me. One example just started and it is about WW2 themed Ork army in 28mm scale:
Below are some interesting photos, imo:
The miniatures look fantastic and cast quality of MaxMini has been proven in the past. The only small disadvantage is the material of ork and gretchin's bodies - white metal. Not because of detail quality (as this is equally good for metal and resin, the metals are just difficult to photograph without paint) but because of sheer weight of the squad :-).

I believe, it's breaking news for Dropzone Commander!
It happened finally, all 4 basic forces in Dropzone Commander (DC) will get soon Starter Packs in plastic! I hope, it will break bad fame of "this expensive 10-mm scale wargame", DC had.
Additionally, a brand new Resistance faction looks pretty interesting too, and should gather attention of both current and new players.

Jungle fighters everywhere!
Seems, the spring is upon us in Europe, and various jungle fighter squads left their winter dens... (No, I am not joking from Ukrainian problems with Putin and his company - they are too serious, and too sad for this).
.
Now, I'm waiting for Kromlech...They already made a kind of attempt into this topic...
Then , there are these Victoria Miniatures squads, and you will decide if they fit the theme, or not...
P.S. Let me know, if there are some other non-obvious options, which I overlooked...

Sexy legs competition (by IG standards...)
Today, I have short comparison of 3 sets of 28 mm guardsmen legs. They all sport autumn/winter outfit, i.e. greatcoats.
1) Maxmini.eu - set of 6 metal legs costs 7 euros (~9.7 USD). Very good detail and cast quality, although the material (white metal) makes them looking less attractive in the photo. Don't be fooled, upon painting they will be not worse then resin bits. One complaint, they have only 3 unique poses.
2) Blight Wheel Miniatures - set of 5 resin legs costs 8 euros (~11.1 USD). Again very good detail and quality. Resin material makes them more pleasant to work with, and all bits are unique pose. They are also the most expensive to purchase, with only five pieces per set.
3) Mad Robot Miniatures - set of 5 standing resin legs or 6 kneeling ones, each for 8 USD (~5.8 euros). Quality of the cast is the same good like both competitors, however detail is slightly worse, IMO. But this set has its own advantages. They are 7 unique poses in total, at the lowest price and in easy to process resin material.
So, finally, direct comparison of three sets:
I am happy with all of them. Even if some cheap plastic alternatives are in fact easily available since few years (like Wargames Factory troopers below)...

Second look at Dropzone Commander
I now this isn't any new discovery, but, for some reason, this game (Dropzone Commander) again caught my attention. Maybe because I finally noticed that they have a proper starter set already (since half a year, in fact)...
Do you like Starcraft? Making silly comparisons, here you have it on a tabletop...

Humans (UCM)
Zergs (Scourge)
Protos (PHR)
...and an additional nation (Shaltari) for even more diversity.
The starter has two reasonable forces of UCM and Scourge with plastic miniatures of very good quality as for 10 mm scale.
The latter fact (the scale) may be a huge advantage for those gamers who don't like to lug around boxes of 28 mm models (looking at you Radek ;-)!!! Price of this set is acceptable (60 GBP) but the problem is a lack of local retailer around my place. The only one I've seen has it on request only, with estimated delivery time of 1 month. Not convenient at all :-(

Hmm, have to look around if any people play this game here in Warsaw...
