Eastern theme continued...

Two more figures from the east.
This time they are not only made there, but quite originally fitting the existing eastern theme of WH4K by using Vostroyan style...

Death Guard Obliterators spotted

Obliterators of Nurgle are ever popular choice for Heavy Support slot in Chaos Space Marines army. As it is with all minions of Nurgle, creation of quite unique models is not so difficult task. However, sometimes people offer home-build miniatures re-cast in resin as a quick solution to buy. Below are such miniatures, offered on eB for ~50 USD / squad, i.e. the same price as GW failcast product.

For comparison, I will show another option accessible via some Russian website.

Orc Warboss is a popular subject for wargaming miniatures sculptors, and here you will find another approach to this theme...

Few interesting pictures (no nekkid girls... this time)

Few miniatures which (for some reason) I've never seen before.

I present these pictures found through the net, as they may be interesting for some folks around...

Unknown painter. Excuse me for using without credit given.

Challenging Kingdom Death! (not really)

Modern and ancient women miniatures in not-so-complete outfit.

Just teasing you, because this figurines are not any challenge for Kingdom Death, or even some particular anime-style miniatures in the contest of incorrectness. Obviously, one can add them to a Tomb King army as a retinue of Queen Khalida, or put on a shelf just to irritate purists...

EDIT: Seems, I found original source of these miniatures, which is Brother Vinni's Miniatures.

Are Custodians still appealing nowadays?

Custodians miniatures were spotted again on EB, but are they still interesting after all those years?

These miniatures are definitely not so new sculpts, but they are of very high quality (IMO) and strongly departing from established aesthetics of power-armored futuristic soldier in so-called heroic scale. The latter gives a value for me, but also produce a problem, how to integrate them in my collection of space marines, heavily biased toward GW production. The weighting factor for purchase decision is their price of 60 USD per 6 dudes...

Alternative Eldar jetbike

This is short addendum to one of my previous posts regarding outdated Eldar jetbike model from GW.

This alternative jetbike is, from time to time, available on EB as "Jet sky-sсooter, оne-elf fast attack combat vehicle" ;-)

It look nice for me, significantly better than current official miniature. But taking into account recent achievements in plastic sprues design and processing, it makes me wonder, what GW may show in this area, once they will finally decide to release new model.

New Ork pilot is looking for da plane...

Quick look at new resin miniature of Ork pilot.

I like orks. I think, it is because opposites attracts...  I believe, I have nothing in common with this part of European football fans, who needs assistance of 50 policemen just to walk from a bus to a stadium... they are orkz of 21 century... But I digress...

This pilot is a part of small line of complete ork miniatures produced by Kromlech, in addition to their ork bits collection.

And comparison with a set of Ork pilot heads, also by Kromlech.

For me, it's really beautiful sculpt, and very good casting as well.
